For the first time, the design evolution of the le.S.P.W. (Sd.Kfz.250) is correctly defined; starting with the 0-Serie, then the Ausf.A with Panzeraufbau Sd.Kfz.250/Z and Sd.Kfz. 250/E, and finally the Ausf.B with both riveted and welded Panzerwanne. Hundreds of hours were spent precisely measuring surviving vehicles and associated components, and over a thousand hours were spent creating detailed as-built drawings of the four different Grundfahrzeuge as well as the Sd.Kfz.250/1, 250/3, 250/5, 250/8, 250/9, and 250/10. Illustrations of some components and weapons have been included to reveal details usually hidden in four-view drawings and photographs. The book is packed with new information on the history, production, unit organisation, tactics, and wartime reports from front-line units. Over 75 scale drawings and 70 photos illustrate this 84-page book.
